Terms of Service
At OSH Assembly, we are committed to delivering high-quality printed circuit board assemblies. Our cancellation and return policies vary based on the type of order placed and the nature of the issue.
1. Order Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellation eligibility depends on whether you have placed a Turnkey or a Kit (Consigned) order.
Turnkey Orders
Turnkey orders involve OSH Assembly procuring the necessary boards and components on your behalf.
- Eligible Cancellations: Turnkey orders may only be canceled for a full refund after payment is made but before we have placed orders for any supplies, components, or bare boards.
- Non-Refundable Stage: Once the procurement process has begun and supplies have been ordered, Turnkey orders cannot be canceled, and no refunds will be issued outside specially approved circumstances.
Kit Orders (Consigned)
Kit orders involve you supplying the components and bare boards to us for assembly.
- Eligible Cancellations: Kit orders may be canceled at any time between order placement and just before the physical assembly process begins.
- Return Shipping & Refunds: If you cancel a Kit order after you have already shipped your materials to our facility, we will return your kit to you free of charge using standard USPS Ground Advantage (2-5 day shipping). A full refund for the assembly service will be issued to your original payment method. You are not required to provide reason for the cancellation.
2. Returns and Rework
We recognize that many of our customers are technically capable and may wish to rework their own boards. In the event of an assembly mistake missed during final inspection, we are always happy to provide technical tips and guidance to assist you with self-repair. However, if rework is required, the following policies apply:
Functional Defects
If an assembly requires functional rework specifically due to a manufacturing error or mistake made by OSH Assembly, we will gladly accept the return and perform the necessary rework to correct the functionality of the board.
Aesthetic Imperfections
Rework requests for issues that are strictly aesthetic and do not impact the electrical or mechanical functionality of the PCB assembly will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Acceptance of aesthetic rework claims is strictly at the discretion of OSH Assembly.
Shipping Costs for Rework
For all valid, approved rework claims resulting from our error, we will cover the shipping costs. This includes both the return shipping to our facility and the send-out shipping back to you, utilizing standard USPS 2-5 day delivery.
